These were the two best group photos I could get despite eyes closed in one and no smiling in the other.
Once again I had a fabulous weekend filled with lots of boyfriend time, camp friend time in Corvallis, good food, and visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Gordon House in Silverton.

I bought a groupon to go see The Gordon House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Silverton, Oregon. It was fun to go check out something cool Oregon has to offer. The house was really interesting! The thing that fascinated me was the fact that they had to move it to it's current location. They cut it in half horizontally and moved the top half fully in tact and rebuilt some of the bottom half. I also liked that it was designed so you could open up the floor to ceiling window doors and continue the party onto the patio on nice days
Jeff and I walked around Silverton after seeing the house. Since we work at Silver Falls State park all summer (at camp), we are always so close to Silverton but rarely walk around and enjoy the cuteness of it. There were a ton of awesome antique shabby chic stores.

Saturday Jeff, Kristin, Amelia and I went to Corvallis to visit Katey. Katey is a camp person as well. She lives in Corvallis with her adorable family and owns a toy store! She just opened another one in Albany. This woman is seriously superwoman (and her husband superman), two toy stores, three kids, farm animals, teacher, 4H camp director, Camp Silver Creek LIT Director (among other roles). And she still found time to have dinner with us! We went to Jeff's favorite local spot, Shanghai Wok. Then we went to her toy store, so cute!

This weekend ended with me and my parents shopping for a new car for me! Whaat? Yes. let me back up. A few weeks ago I was rear ended, I am fine, my car was not. It was totaled (only because the damage was more than the car's worth...trunk stuff). Good Bye low-mileage-free-car from Grandma. Hello car shopping with my parents on Sunday. ALL Sunday. There were ups and downs and the important thing is I got a new car! The downs were when I had a meltdown because I wasn't ready to make such a big life decision about what car I would choose for the next chapter of my life. I'm planning on having this car for a long time so I wanted to make sure it was right. At the same time, I am not a car person, have no interest in cars, and mainly wish I could drive my old Volvo the rest of my life. The ups were that I have amazing, supportive, generous, helpful, awesome parents who listened to me (or saw me starting to freak out) and really wanted to help me find a good reliable car that I would like. There were also very helpful car salesmen in Gresham and Beaverton Toyota who I appreciated their help and felt sorry for because of my generous amounts of shrugging, shaking my head, not laughing at their jokes, and even a few tears in Gresham.

I don't have pictures yet because it was dark by the time I finally got it. but soon enough!
It's a 2010 Toyota Corolla in a Slate grey color. I don't want to brag but I do, sooo, it has a sunroof AND keyless entry!
