Lucky Lovin'

Lucky Brand jeans, shirt and belt c/o, Zara heels

I went through a big designer denim phase in high school/early college {disposable income ya know?} and once I outgrew most of those jeans, I went for cheaper jeans because those were more practical for my budget. I also hated almost every pair, they didn't hold up, they stretched out, they ripped, they faded, etc etc. Within the last year I bought a pair of designer denim which I wear often, which has me easing into paying for quality over quantity.

Since I was a part of the Style Collective for Portland Fashion Week, I was lucky {pun intended} enough to have a styling session with Lucky Brand! I haven't worn Lucky Brand in a while but I went into the session with an open mind because I've heard such good things about their jeans recently. I tried on this pair of Sofia skinny jeans and a pair of Sienna boyfriend jeans and I chose the Sofia's because they feel so amazing! They're tight without being uncomfortable, they have a higher rise in the back so I'm not flashing anyone when I sit, but a slightly lower rise in the front so they're not cutting off my stomach, and they are a great dark wash. Another cool fact about their denim is it's all made in the USA! Love that. I also chose that shirt because it was a little out of my comfort zone but it's so soft and I love that it's a great twist on a classic! And that camo belt, a perfect accessory for fall. Thanks to Portland Fashion Week and Lucky Brand for the styling session!

  1. Those are the same jeans I got!!! They are amazing, so flattering! And yes, I love that they're made in the US. Definitely the direction I want to go with buying new clothes--quality and better factory conditions and less disposable crap!!
