a decaf americano from barista
I'm drinking decaf these days.
Some people know this about me, but caffeine has never really affected me. I don't know what it feels like to have a caffeine buzz, it doesn't wake me up, it doesn't make me shaky, nothing. a few months ago I went to the doctor because I was having some chest pain and {obviously thought I was having a heart attack} she asked if I was drinking more coffee than normal, and yes, I was. She said a lot of women get chest pain when they drink caffeine. I thought, it couldn't possibly be that easy? Just stop drinking caffeine and my chest won't hurt? I started drinking decaf and then one time I forgot and got regular coffee and my chest hurt for the next few days. That was that, no more caffeine for me.
Since I didn't drink coffee to wake me up, it isn't a big loss, I just have to remember to order decaf.
So, at the ripe age of 26, I'm a decaf drinker now! And my chest feels a lot better.
that's so interesting! glad you resolved your chest pain! caffeine doesn't have a huge effect on me, but it totally can cause me sleep issues. i just drink it to stay sane, wake up in the morning, and its part of my routine. just 1 cup.

Caffeine does absolutely nothing for me either, so weird, you're the first first I've known to say the same thing!
